2020 American Wine

2020 American Wine

25% Redford-Wetle Vineyard Albariño (Willamette Valley) 25% Carousel Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon & 50% Carousel Vineyard Syrah (Yakima Valley).

In response to the wildfires that swept the Pacific Northwest in 2020, I direct pressed the Albariño, cold settled it and quickly racked it off its gross lees. I then pumped the juice over three quarters of a ton of whole cluster Syrah, and topped the whole thing off with direct pressed Cabernet Sauvignon. I added a few buckets of beautiful Chenin Blanc skins to the fermenting must. The grapes macerated for a little under 2 weeks, then were pressed and moved to four used barrels where it finished fermentation naturally, with nothing added, including sulfur.

Available late Spring 2021.
